Took a break from hiking as we have the past six weeks and Max had a rest day, while I headed down to Pacifica in the afternoon, hoping there was parking and not too many people out with the low tide. Lucked out with parking and with the lineup. Small, inside-y waves at first north of TB. Got some fun ones and had some sketchy tiny wave wipeouts near the sand with lots of Wavestorms shooting up in the air. After a board-in-the-air moment myself, decided to look for another spot and noticed on my paddle back out that there seemed to be a good peak farther north near the pumphouse. Paddled over the peak and sat right there. A good one came shortly after that and I pulled off an angled takeoff, to my surprise, and was instantly shooting left along the face on what could possibly be my longest left at this spot, thinking wow, it’s not closing out… finally it did and I straightened out and got a reform for a bonus section. Nuts. Got another good left at that same spot. Not quite as long but just as fun. No one in my way or anything. At one point, the wind died down completely and it was glassy as can be. Just a seagull in my view while waiting for the next wave. Stoked.

FAIR CONDITIONS
Afternoon Report for SF-San Mateo County: Just a light onshore bump/crumble to the surface at report time thanks to some minor SW’erly wind. West/WNW swell looks fun, blending with some easing southerly swell. Chest to head high waves show at good exposures, while standout run slightly overhead on sets. A dropping tide eventually reaches a 0.02′ LOW at 1:41pm, so things get a bit drained-out.
