Supposed to be fair with some West groundswell filling in. Looked pretty good out without too many closeouts, though smallish. Got my new Xcel 3/2 in the mail yesterday and was psyched to try it out. Fits well and with the unusually warm 64 degree water recently due to El Nino, the usual 4/3 has been hot. Max has been going out in his 2mm shortie! Paddled out and within seconds turned and caught a fun little right. Only one guy (with the zinc and longboard) in the lineup that was at the peak and a couple of shortboarders on the inside. I got a handful of fun, mellow waves, and those two bigger, faster rights that came through. Wee. It’s been so mellow recently… now psyching for bigger waves ;) Max had fun too, but then bonked his knee on one of those inside rocks on his last ride. Luckily it’s ok!

Only counted two.
