While more experienced surfers in Northern California are bemoaning the usual spring/summer lack of good waves, Max and I are making the most of whatever the ocean has to offer on any given day. We had another window of time this afternoon for a surf. Foggy skies in SF continued with heavy fog all the way to HMB. When we got there, we only saw one surfer out and just a couple of families on the beach. It still amazes me to have an entire beach to ourselves in the heavily-populated Bay area. We had a blast catching small waves despite lowering tide.

[1-2 ft Light and variable west winds with smooth seas. Small long period swell from the west. REGIONAL SUMMARY: A small new mix of NW-WNW(285-310) mid-period swell and building SW(210-220) Southern Hemi swell are on tap this morning as some small/leftover NW windswell is in the mix. Most breaks have knee-waist-chest high surf, with standout NW exposures pulling in a few sets up to shoulder high at times. Conditions are still looking fairly jumbled across the region this morning with steady onshore flow out of the W/WNW.]
