Paddling for a wave that never quite broke before the rocks. Photo by Max.

So elusive that I didn’t get any rides today. Beautiful sunny morning without the usual marine layer but mostly flat. Waves were breaking too close to the rocks to catch a ride. A fellow longboarder (man from Los Gatos) and I paddled for many that seemed like they would eventually materialize but alas, nope. Still great to be out. Max got in the water for a short time since his foot’s been healing. The ocean water definitely made him feel better.
